Pledger Spotlight: French Hospital Medical Center
#MoveToEndDV is partnering with local businesses, organizations and individuals around the world who want to support victims of domestic violence by providing services or products to aid those affected by domestic abuse. With nearly 200 dedicated pledgers, we think it’s important to shine a light on the inspiring, impactful work that they do each and every day.
Dignity Health’s French Hospital Medical Center in San Luis Obispo has a mission to provide excellent, affordable health care services to its community. The company’s goal is to create environments that meet each patient’s physical, mental and spiritual needs.
As part of the #MoveToEndDV, French Hospital Medical Center provides first aid kits, support, and ongoing CPR training for SLO Women’s Shelter Program staff and volunteers. Recently the hospital hosted a gift card drive for the shelter. Additionally, the hospital provides wheelchairs and appropriate durable goods when needed. French Hospital also works collaboratively with the directors of SLO Women’s Shelter Program to facilitate identification and treatment of victims of domestic violence.
“We are proud to work side by side with the SLO Women’s Shelter Program,” said Alan Iftiniuk, president and CEO of French Hospital Medical Center. “Giving back, especially in our own community, is core to our purpose. We encourage everyone to get involved, provide support or donate, to help end domestic violence.”
We are so proud to have French Hospital Medical Center take the pledge and support those who need it the most in their community.
At #MoveToEndDV, we’re dedicated to ending domestic violence and encouraging local businesses to do the same. Want to learn more about our movement and take the pledge? Follow us on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
